Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband and three boys, enjoys a good wine and cheese platter while watching the footy, and loves a good reformer Pilates session!

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?
I started in Banking & Finance back in 2010, working at a CBA Branch. I chose banking because it was a flexible work environment where I could work part-time, around my kids. I spent 4 years in branchland before making the move into the broker world. Working in a bank, there’s only so many people you can help as you’re limited to that bank's policy, interest rates and appetite, and that’s why I am so passionate about the Broking industry. Over the past 10+ years I have worked in Broker Support, as a Broker, in training, and management. I hold a strong passion for the finance industry, as well as financial education and literacy and being highly organised with a strong love of processes, the role of Operations Manager is the perfect fit for me.
If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?
Organised, efficient & passionate
Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
Growing up I was a dancer and even taught kids dance classes up until 9 years ago. I once performed in Disneyworld and took a dance class with the Rockettes.
Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?
I’ll never forget one of my first broking clients. They came to me with an Off the Plan Contract they’d signed 2 years prior, with no finance assessment. Upon review of their credit file, it was discovered that they had a credit default. They were absolutely distraught, as they were supposed to settle on their family home in 2 weeks. I was able to find them a lending solution, obtain an approval and settle within 2 weeks so they could move into their first family home. They were so grateful.
What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?
Regardless of your purchase type (Owner Occ or Investment), you need the right team around you. Purchasing a property may appear to be a once off transaction however most people have long term goals to purchase again, upgrade in the future, borrow for business etc. Building a team of professionals to support these goals is so important.
What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?
Spend time with my husband and kids
