Stephanie has recently joined the Unconditional Finance, but has been in the banking & finance industry for 13 years, across many roles including credit analyst, mortgage broker, manager & trainer.

With her vast wealth of knowledge and experience, Stephanie has made an excellent addition to our team.

Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband and three boys, enjoys a good wine and cheese platter while watching the footy, and loves a good reformer Pilates session!

More About Stephanie

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?
I started in Banking & Finance back in 2010, working at a CBA branch. I chose banking because it offered a flexible work environment where I could work part-time around my kids. I spent 4 years in branchland before transitioning into the broker world. Working in a bank, you can only help so many people since you’re limited to that bank's policies, interest rates, and appetite. That’s why I’m so passionate about the broking industry. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked in Broker Support, as a Broker, in training, and in management. I hold a strong passion for the finance industry, as well as financial education and literacy. Being highly organised with a love for processes, the role of Operations Manager is the perfect fit for me.
If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?
Organised, efficient, passionate
Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
Growing up, I was a dancer and even taught kids’ dance classes up until 9 years ago. I once performed at Disneyworld and took a dance class with the Rockettes.
Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?
I’ll never forget one of my first broking clients. They came to me with an off-the-plan contract they had signed two years prior, without a finance assessment. Upon reviewing their credit file, I discovered a credit default. They were absolutely distraught, as they were supposed to settle on their family home in just two weeks. I was able to find them a lending solution, obtain approval, and settle within the two weeks so they could move into their first family home. They were so grateful, and it’s a memory that still makes me smile.
What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?
Regardless of your purchase type (owner-occupied or investment), you need the right team around you. Purchasing a property might seem like a one-off transaction, but most people have long-term goals to purchase again, upgrade in the future, or borrow for business. Building a team of professionals to support these goals is incredibly important.
What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?
Spending time with my husband and kids.
