Meet Nicole Mlinaric

Her area of expertise is helping our clients towards the end of the finance process, by facilitating settlements. Our clients often rave about Nicole’s amazing service, as she always goes out of her way to make sure the process is as smooth and simple as possible for the borrower.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys going to the pub and is quite the social butterfly – a quality that is reflected in the friendly manner in which she communicates with our clients.

More About Nicole

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?

I got started in April 2009 at NAB. The role I was hired to do in the call centre was to identify customers and transfer them to the next team. I moved quickly and ended up in Homeside (third party broker loans) thanks to our HR manager who submitted my application for me (I initially had no interest in third party). I started there in August 2009, so I’ve officially spent the last 15 years dealing with brokers or broker-introduced loans.

If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?

Friendly, customer advocate, and chaotic.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

I didn’t speak English until I went to school.

If you could share a meal with anyone from any era, who would you choose and why?

Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?

All of them. Just helping someone achieve what they want to achieve, whether it be their first home or building their portfolio.

What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?

Always call your solicitor/conveyancer to confirm their trust account details. You’re transferring a lot of money to them, and don’t feel silly making sure that their account details are correct.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?

As an introvert, I like to spend my weekend “offline”.
