Meet Ivan Kolimackovski

He is currently working alongside our senior brokers – Chris and Joel – where he provides post settlement services to our clients.

Ivan is very passionate about his job, and outside of work he is also equally passionate about keeping active with a variety of sports. He loves the beach and spending time with his friends and family on weekends.

With his level of enthusiasm you can be sure to see Ivan quickly working his way up the ranks in the world of finance.

More About Ivan

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?

I was looking for a career change, and a friend of mine suggested mortgage broking. I began cold-calling brokers to ask for advice and job opportunities. Through this process, I connected with some successful individuals who taught me a lot. Eventually, I came across Unconditional Finance on Seek and decided to apply.

If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?

Challenging, Interesting, Motivating

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

I'm an open book, so most people know a lot about me. However, I used to do drama as a kid and once appeared in a Maccas commercial, where my hand was featured dipping a nugget into sauce. So yes, I’m technically a hand model!

If you could share a meal with anyone from any era, who would you choose and why?

I would share a halal snack pack and a 500ml Red Bull with a peasant from the Victorian era.

Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?

I helped a client who was struggling by consolidating a few of their personal debts. This reduced their repayments by $2,000 per month, which made a significant difference in their life.

What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?

For first-time homebuyers, I always recommend leaving a small cash buffer after purchasing to help cover the costs associated with moving in.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?

My favourite way to unwind is MMA training. (I’m not sure if this sounds unprofessional, but it’s the truth!)
