Meet Renee

Renee has worked in the industry for over 15 years, winning multiple state and national awards. Based on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, she focuses on helping people achieve their property dreams—whether getting into their first home, building an investment portfolio, or growing their business. With a specialty in commercial and asset lending, along with residential, Renee provides service across your full lending portfolio. A lifelong Rabbitohs supporter, she knows a thing or two about determination!

More About Renee

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?

I’m lucky that my parents were one of the first brokers to start operating in Australia, and we were discussing loans and credit policies around the dinner table from a young age. I saw firsthand the difference they could make in people’s lives, and how accessing a trusted, knowledgeable professional—especially in regional areas—opened up opportunities for people who otherwise wouldn’t have had access.

If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?

Stubborn, Determined, Understanding

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

I have 5 chickens, 1 duck, 2 dogs, a bearded dragon, a parrot, and a horse.

If you could share a meal with anyone from any era, who would you choose and why?

Joan of Arc—she’d be inspirational and have some great stories to tell.

Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?

My favourite moments are the ones where families get the keys to their first homes. I was lucky enough to work with a woman who dreamed of owning her own home and worked 2 jobs to build her savings. She would check in with us every few months, and getting to tell her she was finally ready and then get to call her to say she was approved was magic. It was a 3-year-long process, and she still sends me photos of her home and the latest renovations she’s doing.

What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?

First Home Buyers—trust your gut. There’s a lot of outside noise, but this is YOUR first home. Investors—remember to look at what’s around the area you want to buy in and see what industry supports the town.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?

Hanging out with the animals, going to the beach, or on a bushwalk.
