TJ is our talented Analyst who joined our team after gaining extensive experience in the finance industry. Beginning his career in banking in 2018, TJ spent three years refining his investment skills in the buyer’s agent space before transitioning into mortgage broking. This unique journey has allowed him to combine his diverse skill set to help investors build their property portfolios effectively.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his partner and has a surprising background in ice hockey, a sport he played in his younger years.

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?

I have always been interested in the financing space ever since I started my career in banking in 2018. I moved into the buyer’s agent space and honed my investment skills there for 3 years before taking the opportunity to move into the mortgage broking space as an analyst. This allowed me to combine all my skills together to continue to help investors build their portfolios.

If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?

Adaptable, Proactive, Diligent

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

I used to play Ice Hockey when I was younger.

If you could share a meal with anyone from any era, who would you choose and why?

Albert Einstein – To gain insights into the mind of one of the greatest scientific thinkers, discussing his approach to problem-solving and creativity.

Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?

I helped a client through numerous roles working for a buyers agent that allowed them to purchase 5 investment properties in under 3 years, which has set them up for financial independence.

What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?

Surround yourself with the right team of professionals so that you can execute on your strategy smoothly and effectively.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?

Spending time with my partner.
