Ivan is our amazing customer support manager and is quite new to the industry, he is very much enjoying learning the ins and outs of the finance world.

Meet Ivan Kolimackovski

He is currently working alongside our senior brokers – Chris and Joel – where he provides post settlement services to our clients.

Ivan is very passionate about his job, and outside of work he is also equally passionate about keeping active with a variety of sports. He loves the beach and spending time with his friends and family on weekends.

With his level of enthusiasm you can be sure to see Ivan quickly working his way up the ranks in the world of finance.

What inspired you to become a broker/analyst/manager/officer, and how did you get started in the industry?

I was looking for a career change and a friend of mine suggested mortgage broking. I then began cold calling brokers asking for advice/jobs. I got to connect with some successful people who taught me a lot this way, eventually running into Unconditional Finance on Seek and applying.

If you could describe your work style in three words, what would they be?

Tricky, Interesting, Motivating

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

I'm an open book so most people know most things about me. However, I used to do drama as a kid and once had my hand in a Maccas commercial (dipping a nugget into sauce). So yeah, I'm a hand model.

If you could share a meal with anyone from any era, who would you choose and why?

I would share a halal snack pack and a 500ml Red Bull with a Victorian era peasant.

Can you share a story where you helped a client (it doesn’t matter how small or big) that makes you smile?

I helped a client who was struggling consolidate a few personal debts of theirs, which reduced their repayments by $2,000 per month.

What’s one piece of advice you always give to first-time homebuyers or to investors?

For first home buyers, I always recommend leaving a small cash buffer after purchasing to assist them with the costs involved with moving in.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work or during the weekend?

My favourite way to unwind is MMA training (not sure if this looks unprofessional, but it's the truth haha).
